Danielle Cicci
DESTINATION WEDDING DESIGNER
Danielle started her travel career in Mason Horvath’s corporate and leisure divisions and is now a wedding designer for Mason Horvath’s subsidiary Blue Petal Destination Weddings.
One of the most memorable trips she planned was a world cruise that started in Los Angeles and ended in London, England. This was a 110-day adventure that was truly a trip of a lifetime, especially for the children. “I loved hearing my clients rave about their trip and that the world was their children’s classroom. What an amazing experience; you just can’t get better than that!”
Danielle has had many unforgettable travel experiences of her own, such as her first adventure to Indonesia where she was so innocent that she wouldn’t even eat the popcorn at the bar for fear of being drugged, yet she tried a local drink, jungle juice, that all travel books warned to avoid!
She was onboard a 22-person yacht for 8 days sailing through the Sea of Cortez, and “The experience was truly unbelievable, the marine life I saw up close was astonishing!” Five different species of whales, gorgeous fish and sea life, and best of all, a pod of bottlenose dolphins playing in the surf for hours. Enjoying time in the South of France allowed her to experience the well-known delicacy, fois gras. “I’ve found out I’m not a fan of foie gras, especially when paired with pigeon!”
Danielle enjoys the excitement of being in a different place, meeting new people and learning new customs. “Bits and pieces from all of my trips have been inspiring; they have taught me to appreciate what I have and those I am fortunate to have in my life”. Her most impressive journey can inspire us all: an expedition to Africa to assist in building a classroom for the poverty stricken village of Solio, Kenya.
“Being a Destination Wedding Specialist is truly an exciting aspect of travel to me. Working with groups is not for everyone, but I know this is truly my passion! I love being able to meet with the Brides and Grooms-to-be and to really get to know them and their story together. It’s truly inspiring to see the excitement in their eyes and to hear it in their voices, and to be able to share this special time with them. The beauty of planning Destination Weddings is that the relationship doesn’t stop there. I have the opportunity to work with my clients for many months and to be there to walk them through all of the highs and lows of planning such a momentous event. The end result is always truly magical, and that’s what motivates me to come to work each and every day.”
